Gomoa East District Assembly completes 60 out of 85 developement projects
The Gomoa East District Assembly has completed 60 projects with 25 more nearly completed, Mr Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah, the District Chief Executive, has said.
He told the GNA in an interview that President John Atta Mills’ “Better Ghana” Agenda was being felt in the district with the infrastructure being provided.
Mr Ahunu-Armah said the projects were being funded by the Local Government Service, the District Assembly Common Fund, District Development Fund, the GETFund, CEDECOM and the Millennium Challenge Account.
The projects include educational infrastructure, water and sanitation facilities, health facilities, extension of electricity to communities and roads.
The others are markets, accommodation for assembly staff and ICT centres.
He said apart from this, Plan Ghana, a child centered non-governmental organisation, had provided three school buildings for the district.
Mr Ahunu-Armah appealed to the citizens to continue to rally behind the NDC and vote massively for Prof. Mills to continue with the good work he was doing.
The Gomoa East District was part of the Gomoa West District until it was made a separate district in 2007.
