Ghana Black Stars arrive in Zambia for World Cup qualifier
The Ghana Black Stars team has arrived in Zambia ready to play the Chipolopolo in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier this Saturday, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said today June 7, 2012.
“All 23 members of the squad arrived at the Ndola Airport in the third largest city in Zambia after a five-day training camp in South Africa,” the FA said in a statement.
The Black Stars play against Zambia in the second Group D fixture after making a winning start last week following a 7-0 thumping of Lesotho in Kumasi.
The Ghana team is expected to use the facilities of Zambian club side, Power Dynamos in Kitwe for training today at 16.00 GMT, officials say after which coach Kwesi Appiah and his squad will head to the new Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, a 35-minute drive from Kitwe on Friday.
