Issa Hayatou mourns death of Jordan Anagblah
CAF President Issa Hayatou has expressed shock at the death of Jordan Anagblah, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Anagblah passed away on Thursday morning (June 14) in Accra after a short illness. He was 55.
“On my behalf, the CAF Executive Committee and African football family, I expressed my condolences to the Ghana Football Association, his family. Our thoughts are with you during this sad moment.
“This is a big blow to Ghana football as he was a doyen of youth football,” said Hayatou.
Anagblah was also Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and Chief Executive of Ghanaian elite division side, Tudu Mighty Jets. He is fondly remembered as Chairman of the Management team of the Ghana U-20 team that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009, the first ever by an African country.
He was elected Vice President of the GFA last year having served on the Executive Committee for over a decade. He remained a pillar in the development of youth football through the country.
