Anloga gets first community clinic under CHPS
The first community clinic under the Community Health Planning Service (CHPS), has been inaugurated to serve the residents of Anloga, a suburb of Kumasi.
The facility, which is the first to be established in the Kumasi Metropolis will provide primary health care to the densely-populated area and peripheral communities to help ease the congestion at the bigger hospitals.
The clinic is being housed in a rented apartment, which was renovated by the Kumasi Metropolitan Authourity (KMA) at the cost of GH¢10,000.
Inaugurating the facility, Dr Kwasi Yeboah-Ewudzi Kumasi Metropolitan Director of Health Service, said the facility would be managed by staff from the Kumasi South Hospital.
Dr Yeboah-Ewudzi called on the people to patronize the facility and cooperate with the health personnel to enable them give off their best.
Mr Kwabla Ablordepke, Assemblyman for Anloga West, commended the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive Officer, Mr Samuel Sarpong for his efforts in making the project a reality.
