Ghana suffers heavy slip to 33rd on July 2012 FIFA rankings

Ghana has fallen down further on the July 2012 FIFA rankings after the country slipped eight places  from 25th to 33rd on the table released today July 4, 2012.

Ghana scored 707 points, but is still placed second on the African continent after Ivory Coast.

The country’s drop on the rankings was due to the 1-0 defeat it suffered at the hands of Zambia in the World Cup qualifier in June.

Spain extended its lead on the overall rankings significantly by defending the European title while Brazil hits an all-time low falling to the 11th position.
