Ghana to face Malawi in final 2012 AFCON qualifier
Ghana’s Black Stars will face Malawi in the final round of the qualifying rounds of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
From the draw conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday, the Stars will host the first leg on the weekend of 7-9 September before travelling to Blantyre on the weekend of 12-14 October.
The winner after the two-leg matches qualifies for the final tournament to be played in South Africa next year.
Ghana placed fourth at the 2012 edition of the Nations Cup held jointly in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The Black Stars were one of the 15 seeded nations which included Zambia, Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan and Tunisia.
