Chief Imam mourns Mills
The National Chief Imam on behalf of the National Council of Muslims Chiefs and the entire Muslim Community, has expressed condolence to the newly sworn-in President, John Dramani Mahama, the bereaved family, the government and the people of Ghana on the death of President John Evans Atta Mills.
An official statement from the Office of the National Chief Imam said, the President’s demise was indeed a big loss not only to the government but to the entire nation.
It said as “we mourn him we pray that the whole nation gets united. To his immediate family, relatives, friends and the entire nation let us take heart in the loss for what we want God wants more,” it added
President Mills died on Tuesday at 1415 hours shortly after being sent to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
