New Orange, Gameloft mobile games services for Africa, Middle East
French-based telecoms firm, Orange is teaming up with Gameloft, a leading global publisher of digital and social games, to make mobile games and offers available on smartphones and java compatible devices.
The new service will be available in all Orange’s 22 countries in Africa and the Middle East.
In a statement, Orange said the “new mobile games will make use of Gameloft’s most popular titles such as Asphalt 6 : Adrenaline; Assassin’s Creed : Revelations; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2; The Avengers; and more.”
Orange, also an official sponsor of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), noted it is supporting African football through the Gameloft partnership by pre-installing Gameloft Real Football 2012 on mobile phones for customers.
Through this partnership, Orange and Gameloft will make more than 300 games available through a dedicated section of the Orange mobile portal, it said.
Orange believes that its partnership with Gameloft will contribute to the democratization of mobile multimedia usage in Africa and the Middle East.
