E.P Church to build GH¢600,000 chapel in memory of President Mills
Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Church, Mawuli Estate, is to build a chapel in memory of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
The about GH¢600,000 complex will have an auditorium, a conference room and offices.
Right Reverend Francis Amenu, Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P Church, has cut a sod for commencement of work on the project to be completed in three years.
He paid tribute to the late President Mills and urged members of the Church to learn from his humility, love and respect for man. Rt. Rev. Amenu said the Church received the news of President Mills’ death with “great shock” but was hopeful that he was resting in the arms of his Maker.
He described the late President Mills as a “true Christian” worthy of emulation and appealed to members to remain united and focused to complete the project on schedule.
He appealed to them to constantly pray for the government and all politicians and play peaceful roles in the December elections.
