Iranian Vice President congratulates Amissah-Arthur on new Veep post
Iranian Vice President Mohamma-Reza Rahimi, Saturday, congratulated Mr Kwesi Amissah-Arthur on his assumption of office as the Vice President of Ghana, the country’s state-owned news agency IRNA reported August 11, 2012.
In his message to Amissah-Arthur, Rahimi, according to IRNA, expressed hope that further efforts made by the leaders of Ghana and Iran would “lead to promotion of bilateral cooperation and serve interests of both nations”.
Mr Amissah-Arthur who is the immediate past governor of the Bank of Ghana, was sworn-in as the country’s Vice President August 6, 2012.
