AfDB opens first office outside Africa in Tokyo
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) will today October 15, 2012 open the External Representation Office for Asia in Tokyo, Japan, as its first office located outside Africa.
With economic ties between Asia and Africa growing increasingly close, the new office, according to the Bank aspires to be a bridge between the two regions, committed to supporting various projects conducive to the further enhancement of exchanges.
The Bank’s President Donald Kaberuka who is attending the the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will officially open the Tokyo Office, AfDB said in a statement.
