Kufuor calls on Ghanaians to vote NPP into power for free SHS

Former President J. A. Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor on Wednesday called on Ghanaians to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power to enable their children to enjoy free Senior High School (SHS) education promised by the flagbearer.

He said since education was a key to development, the free SHS  would help reduce, if not eliminate child trafficking, teenage pregnancy, armed robbery and other social vices.

Ex-President Kuffuor was speaking at a ceremony organized by the members of the NPP in Amasaman and Trobu to introduce their parliamentary candidates; Clement Nii Lamptey Wilkinson for Amasaman and Mr Moses Anim for Trobu Constituency.

He said if Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer, was voted into power, he would continue the good work done during the NPP administration which includes the National Health Insurance Scheme, good roads, potable water, and electricity.

The two parliamentary candidates pledged to provide the people with basic needs such as good drinking water, electricity, and clinics when voted to Parliament.

They called on the supporters to vote in their numbers for Akufo-Addo to become president come January 7, 2013.

Nana Yaw Gyapong, Constituency Chairman and other executive members, who attended the ceremony, commended Akufo-Addo for his laudable vision of making SHS free and called on Ghanaians to vote for the NPP for change.
