Two Ghanaian assistant referees on CAN 2013 radar
Two Ghanaian assistant referees could be on duty when the next Africa Cup of Nations billed for South Africa, comes alive beginning Saturday, January, 19, 2013.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has extended an invitation to assistant referees; Alidu Salifu Malik and David Laryea for a prerequisite CAF Referees Elite Course designed for the biannual gathering.
The duo is among other selected official across the continent for the program from 21-29 November in Cairo, Egypt.
The officials are expected to undergo a fitness test and get abreast with refereeing related issues during the course.
The match officials for the January 19 to February 10 tournament will be drawn from the lot at the course.
There was no Ghanaian official at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations event held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
