Ghana’s President appoints Transition Team
President John Dramani Mahama has, in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845) appointed a 22- member Transition Team to manage the transition to a new administration for the Republic of Ghana.
A statement from the Office of the President on Tuesday said Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur was appointed head of the Team.
The statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson John Jinapor said President Mahama had also designated an Advisory Council, Chaired by Mrs Joyce Bamford-Addo, the Speaker of Parliament.
President Mahama would be formally sworn into office on January 7.
