Mahama’s victory demonstrates Ghana’s commitment to democracy – Compaore

Mr Blaise Compaore, President of Burkina Faso has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his electoral victory on December 7.

He said the victory demonstrates the commitment of Ghanaians to strengthen and entrench democracy.

This was contained in a statement copied and issued to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday.

He said the trust reposed in the President was a testimony of his immense personal qualities and the full support of the people for his vision for stable, fast growing and united nation.

“Burkina Faso salutes this strong expression of political maturity of your compatriots, who constitute an example for the culture of democracy in Africa,” he said.
