Ghana Health Service appreciates media work in Upper East
Dr Koku Awoonor-Williams, Upper East Regional Director of Health Services on Thursday expressed gratitude to media houses in the Region for their immense contribution to improving health delivery.
“I particularly want to thank you for providing adequate coverage of the numerous events organized by the Service in the year and also for the accurate reportage of all health events,” he said.
Dr Awoonor-Williams expressed gratitude to the media in the Region in a statement he signed and released to the press.
He said the press from the beginning of the year to the end had in diverse ways supported the Upper East Regional Health Directorate and the GHS as a whole in their bid to bring quality, affordable and accessible health care to the people in the Region and beyond.
He indicated that as human institution and partners in the development of the country, “we admit that everything might not have gone perfectly well in our engagement throughout the year. The Service is however conscious of the need to constantly work in ways that would help to strengthen the relation for better collaboration in times ahead.”
The Regional Director commended the media in the Region and said “it is on this note that I entreat you to join hands with us in patting ourselves at the back for our collaborative efforts and good services to the nation despite the challenges.”
He appealed to members of the public to be cautious of health implications in their bid to celebrate the yuletide and advised them to do that in moderation.
