Assembly members urged to remain non-partisan

Mr Seth Adjei-Baah, outgoing Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkawkaw, has called on assembly members to remain non-partisan and co-operate with the government and MPs to enhance development.

He was optimistic that his predecessor would continue with development projects he had initiated such as construction of clinics, basic school blocks, and awards of scholarships to needy but brilliant students to enhance the living standard of the people in the constituency.

Mr Adjei Baah who was addressing Assembly Members in the Kwahu-West Municipality thanked them for their co-operation and support during his four- year tenure as MP for the constituency.

He gave the assurance to donate ambulance to the Nkawkaw clinic, which he had started and also to continue to contribute towards the development of the municipality.

The Presiding Member of the assembly, Mr Emmanuel Kingsley Osei, commended Mr Adjei Baah for his support and assistance to the Assembly Members during his term of office which had improved the living standard of the people in the various electoral areas.

Mr Adjei Baah was elected as independent candidate for the Nkawkaw constituency in 2008 but he decided to contest the seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2012 election but lost the constituency primary to Mr Eric Kwakye Darfour who went on to win the seat.
