Car dealer jailed five years

A circuit court, presided over by Mr D.E.K Daketsey, on Friday sentenced a car dealer, Bright Asafo Agyei Kuffour, to five years imprisonment.

After going through full trial, the court found him guilty of stealing a Mercedes Benz bus valued at GH₵17, 500.00 belonging to one Samuel Dagbui.

After stealing the car, Kuffour changed the colour, chassis number and in an attempted to register it with the Drivers, Vehicle and Licensing Authority he was arrested.

After conviction, Kuffour prayed the court to consider him as he was HIV positive. The court declined his plea saying he had not produced any documentary evidence to that effect.
