President directs statutory Boards to continue in care-taker positions

President John Dramani Mahama has directed that for the orderly conducts of Government business, all statutory Boards whose tenure of office has expired should be in care-taker positions until substantive boards are established.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Dr Raymond A. Atuguba, Executive Secretary to the President and copied to the Ghana News Agency.

The statement said in the spirit of the Transition Act, the Boards shall not take decisions involving a policy issue, sign any major agreement or engage in any significant financial transaction without clearance from the Office of the President.
