Ghana records $18.7b remittances in 2012 – Central Bank

An amount of $18.7 billion was remitted through banks in Ghana during 2012, according to the central bank.

The private inwards transfer was a growth of 4.9% from 2011.

Of the total transfers, the Bank of Ghana says, $1.8 billion accrued to individuals compared to 2011’s $1.9 billion.
