Ghana’s sustainable development lies in education – Director
An educationist has lauded individuals and corporate institutions whose sacrifices had contributed significantly towards educational growth in Ghana over the years.
Mrs. Kate Agyemang-Badu, Asokore-Mampong Municipal Director of Education, said their vision and commitment since independence had been critical to empowering the citizenry in all fields of endeavour.
Addressing an independence parade of school children and volunteer organizations at Asokore-Mampong near Kumasi, the Director said it was necessary for stakeholders to continue investing in education.
Mrs Agyemang-Badu said they should channel resources towards infrastructural development, motivating teachers and also institute scholarship schemes to support brilliant but needy youth to pursue their careers with success.
Mr. John Adomako, the Municipal Coordinating Director, cautioned the citizenry to shun practices that degraded the environment to sustain biodiversity.
He also urged them to remain disciplined in their work for increased productivity.
