The Jaman South District Assembly has financed the construction of two kindergarten projects at Baano and Konsia estimated at GHȼ184,521 from the District Development Fund.
The Ghana Education Fund (GETFund) has also financed a six-unit classroom block for the Atuna Roman Catholic Primary School estimated at GHȼ158,000.
These were announced by Mr Julius Atta Bediako, Jaman South District Chief Executive when inaugurating the projects at Atuna.
He advised parents to take advantage of the various social interventions created by the government to enrol their children in school.
Mr Bediako appealed to teachers to lead exemplary lives and become role models for the pupils and students in the area.
He said they should avoid truancy, absenteeism, lateness and alcoholism which affected teaching and learning in the schools.
Mr Bediako also appealed to the people to regard the projects as their own and ensure they were well maintained to prolong their life-span.
Mr Daniel Mensah, Assemblyman for Baano-Krakrom Electoral Area, expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the projects saying it would enhance the teaching and learning in the area.
