Valley View University receives international award
Valley View University, an Adventist university, has been honoured for achievements chalked in the provision of quality education to students by the Business Initiative Directions, an international organisation, which awards companies, organisations and institutions for excellence.
The presentation of the awards took place on March 9 and 10, 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland during the 15th Century International Quality Awards Convention.
These companies, organisations and institutions were selected due to the high quality of their works from 100 countries.
Addressing the media on arrival to Ghana on Monday, Professor Daniel Buor, Vice Chancellor of the Valley View University (VVU), said the university was selected due to the quality of education given to students and the quality of products that graduated from the school.
He said the VVU was awarded a plaque for “Excellence in Leadership and Business Management,” Gold Category.
Professor Buor expressed satisfaction about the awards as it had coincided with VVU being adjudged the Best Private University in Ghana and the Fifth Best Tertiary Institution in Ghana by the 4International Colleges and Universities (4ICU), an international higher education directory in its January 2013 rankings.
He praised God for the awards and said it would spur the university on to achieve more academic laurels and to ensure that it products would continue to be among the best in the country.
“This would also motivate faculty to come out with more innovative ways of ensuring that our students continue to remain on top.”
