Tema Metro petitioned to relocate shipping line Maersk at harbour

Mr Stephen Ashitey Adjei, Executive Member of the National Democratic Congress in Tema East, on Friday appealed to Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) to relocate Maersk Line Company at the Tema Harbour to ease traffic.

A petitioned to the Public Relations and Complains Committee of TMA and copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra, claimed that the heavy duty trucks of the company that carry containers are causing heavy vehicular traffic from the Tema Main Harbour roundabout to Tema New town.

Mr Adjei said the three minutes drive now takes hours, thus making it impossible for critically ill patients to be rushed for medical attention at Tema General Hospital.
