College of Cardinals thanks Ghanaians

The Dean and College of Cardinals of the Catholic Church, that met in Rome to elect the new Pope Francis I has written to thank Ghanaians for praying with them when they met at conclave to elect a new Pope.

In a letter signed by Cardinal Peter Turkson and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com, it said, “The Dean and the College of Cardinals of the Holy Roman Catholic Church wish to thank heartily all of you, dear Brothers and Sisters, for your prayers for God’s guidance of their discernment and election of the new Holy Father, who, as “Servant of the Servants of God”, will devotedly serve the Church and the Human Family”.

He was elected to become the 265th Pope Wednesday March 13, 2013.
