A severe rainstorm has hit four communities in the Nkoranza South Municipality ripping off the roofs of about 100 buildings displacing more than 400 people.

Mr Evan Osei-Worae, Nkoranza South Municipal Co-ordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza that the incident occurred following a heavy downpour.
He said 65 buildings including three schools and five churches were affected at Akumsa Domase and properties worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis were destroyed.
The affected schools are the Presbyterian Primary, Methodist Primary and Nkoranza Shalom International School. Churches buildings also destroyed are the Apostles Continuation Church, Presbyterian Church, Church of Pentecost, Anglican Church and New Apostolic Church.
Mr Osei-Worae said at Brahoho, a three-classroom block of the Presbyterian Primary school and six other buildings were destroyed. Twelve buildings were also destroyed at Ayerede and six buildings at Nkwabeng.
