Some schools in Sunyani closed down due to teachers’ strike

Some public basic schools in the Sunyani Municipality have been closed down following the nationwide strike by teachers that begun yesterday Monday March 18th.

Whereas some schools recorded zero attendant on the second day of the strike, others like Nyama Junior High School saw some students present in the classrooms revising their notes but without teachers.

Madam Grace Amponsah, a parent, told the GNA that the pupils were asked to stay at home due to the strike.

She however said the situation had led to some pupils roaming about in the streets in their uniforms endangering their lives because of vehicular movements.
