Some supporters of Kotoko have vented their spleen on head Coach, Mas-Ud “Didi” Dramani, accussing him of technical bankruptcy.

This was after the ‘Porcupine Warriors’ succumbed to a 1-2 defeat at the hands of city rivals, King Faisal, in their outstanding Glo-Premier League clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The defeat, Kotoko’s first in the 2012/13 season left most of the supporters livid, compelling Dramani, to be whisked away in a black Honda vehicle to prevent the desperate fans from doing the unthinkable.

Kofi Amponsah, one of the aggrieved supporters, in an interview with the GNA Sports, questioned the tactics employed by the coach, claiming, ‘the technical team should have fielded fresh legs to counter the onslaught mounted by the more aggressive Faisal players. Most of the players looked tired following our recent CAF Champions League preliminary match against Algerian side, JSK Bejaia.’

Eliasu Ahmed, another supporter could not come to terms with why Coach Dramani kept faith with Kofi Nti Boakye as the leading striker in most of the team’s matches despite the striker’s inability to live up to expectation.

‘We have registered about 47 players and the expectation is that some of the unused players be given the chance to also play and justify their inclusion in the team’, he said.

Coach Dramani, however, attributed the team’s defeat to fatigue, saying having engaged in the Champion’s league assignment most of his key players were exhausted.
