UT Life records 140% rise premium payments in 2012
Unique Trust (UT) Life Insurance Company Limited, a member of the UT group of companies, is making strong progress as its premium collections soar.
It, for example, raked in GH¢6.7 million in premium payments in 2012, compared with the previous year’s total of GH¢2.7 million.
Mr Tiibu Aziz Rayamah, Manager, said the figure represented an increase of about 140 per cent.
He said prompt insurance claims payment by the company had been the driving force behind its success story.
Mr Rayamah was speaking at the company’s maiden Annual Sales Conference held in Kumasi. The event was also used to reward 20 top sales executives.
It was on the theme: “Innovation and Personal Branding: Your Key to Career Development.”
Mr Rayamah put the total insurance claims they paid in year 2012 at GH¢1 million.
Mr Drayi Mensah Worlasi of the Hohoe Branch of the company, Volta Region, was adjudged the overall best sales executive. Together with 19 others, they received cash prizes, certificates and plaques.
Mrs Elizabeth Wyns-Dogbe, General Manager in-charge-of Operations, congratulated the recipients for their hard work and urged them to continue the good job.
