Let’s invest in God’s kingdom business – Corporate Banker
Elder Theophilus Dorgbetor, Corporate Banker with the National Investment Bank, has urged Christians to develop the passion for investments in God’s kingdom business.
He said investment was putting your time, energy, talent, money, among others into something with the expectation of gain, usually over a longer term.
Elder Dorgbetor, who was speaking at the 2013 Easter Convention of the Great Commission Church International at New Santo near Kanawu in the Tema West Constituency, said all Christians were investors in God’s kingdom business and they would be rewarded by God accordingly.
The four-day Easter Convention, which has powerful men of God lined up to minister to the needs of the congregation on theme: “Let’s rise up and build”, would end on Sunday.
The Elder noted that the passion to invest in God’s kingdom business came from the belief that no matter what happened God would surely reward us.
He said all the people who put their resources into the things of God in the bible knew that they would be rewarded by him.
Elder Dorgbetor said the passion for investing in the things of God came from knowing who God was – that He (God) is a faithful God and a rewarder of them that diligently seek him; adding that it is this knowing that would compel us to have the passion and invest in God’s kingdom business.
Taking his bible reading from the book of Daniel Chapter three, he said, it was because the three Hebrew boys knew the kind of God they serve that they chose to remain loyal to him even in the face of death and as a result, God intervened and delivered them from any hurt by the furnace of the king.
He said ownership feeling would motivate Christians to stand up to invest in God’s kingdom business; declaring that the Church does not belong to the Pastor or the Elders but to the entire membership.
He said Nehemiah in the bible was moved by passion and ownership feeling to take action in building the walls of Jerusalem within 52 days.
Elder Dorgbetor said passion and vision without an action would result to nothing, hence the need for Christians to move into action in investing in God’s kingdom business; saying that people were judged by their own actions and inactions.
He said many Christians loved to see their Churches grow into grandeur ones but it was only when they took to prayers and fasting backed by action in terms of soul winning and giving to support the work God that their heart desires could come to fruition.
The Cooperate Banker called on Christians to build their faith in God because without faith it was impossible to please God at any given time.
