Ghanaian youth entreated to desist from get-rich attitude
The district pastor of the Victory Bible Church International, Tarkwa, Reverend Joseph Anyane Asare has entreated the youth to concentrate on their education and desist from the get-rich attitude.
He said this practice, which is fast gaining root among the young people of the present generation poses a big threat to the country’s future development.
Rev. Asare gave the advice in Tarkwa during the Church’s four-day Easter convention, which was on the theme “Easter: The importance of it today.”
According to the district pastor, the attitude of the youth embracing materialism did not augur well for Ghana’s progress.
He said the celebration of Easter is not all about attending camp meetings and conventions but rather a time to look at Jesus as the savior who gave himself as a sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.
Rev. Asare encouraged the youth to use the resurrection of Christ to resist all forms of temptations that might confront them to become responsible future leaders.
He called on the youth to submit themselves to the Holy Spirit and be guided by Christian leadership values such as humility and love, adding that, all relevant stakeholders, including religious bodies, should help in the fight against the increasing negative practices in the society.
