Mr Jerry Acquah-Kenneth, an elder of the church of Pentecost, Wassa Manso district, in the Western region has appealed to political leaders to use their various capabilities to help preserve the peace and unity of the country.

He said as the church continues to fast and pray for peace and unity to prevail in the country, politicians must also show their commitment towards working for peace.

Elder Acquah-Kenneth made the appeal on Sunday in a sermon to climax the Tarkwa Area-Simpa zone Easter convention held at Simpa.  It was on the theme “Jesus Christ, the God approachable”.

Touching on the four dimensions of God’s love, he said Easter is all about the death, resurrection and the ascension of Christ, stressing that it was God’s love for humanity, which culminated in the death of Christ on the cross for the sins of mankind.

He explained that such matchless love of God demand a wholehearted and unreserved response from every man.

“No matter whom you may be or what sin you have committed, the first dimension of God’s love includes you” he stressed.

According to him, the love of God envelops sorrow, loneliness, poverty, disappointment, tragedy and all kinds of sin, adding that, for very believer to be saved, each one must personally accept Gods love.

He entreated politicians to humble themselves and seek the love, grace, wisdom and favor of the almighty creator whenever they get the opportunity to serve the people of Ghana.

Mr. Acquah-Kenneth asked Christians to emulate the attitude of Jesus Christ by supporting the less privileged in their community.
