Ejisu-Juaben to construct CHIPS Compound
Mr Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah-Ponkoh, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juaben, has cut the sod for construction work to start on a GH¢104,000.00 Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound at Amoam-Achiase.
He pledged to do more to bring quality health care to the people, adding that, the assembly with government support would work hard to ensure access to improved health services.
The population, he noted, could carry out economic activities to support the development of the area only when they are healthy.
The project is expected to be ready within five months and its being funded by the World Bank.
Mr Yamoah-Ponkoh urged the contractors to ensure that the job was completed on schedule.
“There should be value for money. Poor and shoddy work would not be accepted. The people would not be shortchanged,” he cautioned.
Nana Kwaku Duah, chief of the town, said they were grateful to the government for the project and promised to give the contractors the needed cooper
