Yendi to get GH¢36m technology complex
7AS unique Services and Partners from Canada, is constructing a GH¢36 million College of Science and Technology Educational Complex, in Yendi in the Northern Region.
The project, which started in 2011 and is expected to be completed in six years, is in three phases.
It comprises six- unit junior high school (JHS) classroom- block, staff common room, principal’s office, information communication technology centre and office, accounts office, eight- seater water closet facility, dining hall and a dormitory.
The school which will also accommodate a senior high school and a university shall take off in September with 60 students.
Mr Nathaniel Adams Jnr, Proprietor of the College made this known at Kuga, a suburb of Yendi in the Northern Region, when he interacted with newsmen at the premises of the project.
He said the complex would be a specialised science and technology academic facility and would admit students right from JHS.
Mr Adams called on Dagombas particularly those in Yendi to give peace a chance in order to attract more investments to the area.
He said without peace in Yendi it would be difficult for investors to locate in the municipality to facilitate youth employment.
Mr Adams said there are plans by investors to plant two mega watts solar plant in the town, hence the need for peace and stability to facilitate the process.
