Kyle Whitehill leaves Vodafone Ghana, joins Qatar unit as CEO
Mr Kyle Whitehill will be leaving Vodafone Ghana to join the Qatar unit of Vodafone Group starting June 2013.
Yesterday, Vodafone Qatar Q.S.C. announced that it will appoint Mr Whitehill as its new Chief Executive Officer from June 2013.
“Mr Kyle Whitehill will take over responsibility for the Company from Mr Richard Daly who will be returning home to the UK for family reasons,” Vodafone Qatar said in a statement.
Commenting on the appointment of Mr Whitehill, H.E Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Saud Al-Thani, Chairman of Vodafone Qatar said “I and the entire Board of Vodafone Qatar are delighted to welcome Kyle and his family to Qatar. I am sure that Kyle’s deep experience in Enterprise and Fixed Line Services will ensure the continued success of Vodafone in Qatar.”
Mr Whitehill has been CEO of Vodafone Ghana since 2010, taking over from David Venn.
He has worked for Vodafone Group since 2001 and has previously held a variety of senior roles including Enterprise Business Unit Director in the UK and Chief Operating Officer in India.
