Mobile SIM subscription in Ghana grew at a rate of 1.1% from January to February 2013, latest figures from the telecoms regulator has shown.
According to the National Communications Authority (NCA), mobile voice telephone subscribers in Ghana stood at 26,324,702 in February 2013 from the January figures of 26,037,525.
MTN’s subscriber base was 941,887 within the monthly period, followed by Vodafone’s 5,551,139, the figures show.
The NCA stated that Tigo’s subscriber base shot up to 3,712,082, and Airtel’s was 3,341,715 subscribers.
Glo and Expresso have increased subscriptions to 1,614,117 and 163,762 respectively, according to the NCA.
