Second edition of symposium on Africa’s phosphate industry takes place in Agadir, Morocco
The second edition of the symposium on Africa’s phosphate industry will be held in Agadir, Morocco, organisers, OCP Group have said.
The symposium known as SYMPHOS, the International Symposium on Innovation and Technology in the Phosphate Industry will be held from May 6 to 10, 2013 under the theme, “Promoting innovation and technology for sustainable development. ”
According to the OCP Group over 1000 participants are expected at the exclusive event, adding that major international actors, including industrial manufacturers, equipment suppliers and researchers will share experiences, discover the latest innovations and collectively consider the future of the phosphate industry.
It said the meeting will consider “How to deal with the rising global demand for food, how to preserve Phosphatiers deposits, how to set up an efficient and sustainable use including safety and environment are crucial questions that will be discussed and debated as well.”
The OCP Group in the press release, describes itself as a world leader in the phosphate and its derivatives market, a key player in the international market since 1920.
