Unilever Ghana names new MD
Unilever Ghana has appointed Ms Maidie Elizabeth Arkutu as its new Managing Director after the resignation of David Mureithi on May 1, 2013.
Ms Arkutu’s new appointment takes effect from May 1, 2013, Unilever said in a statement May 7, 2013.
Before her current appointment, Ms Arkutu was the Brand Building Director for Unilever West Africa and a Board Member of Unilever Ghana Limited.
Ms. Arkutu has worked 17 years with Unilever units in Ghana, South Africa and French West Africa.
Ms. Arkutu, a Ghanaian, is a professional marketer. She has a post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK Board).
She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and French from Vesalius College, Belgium.
Ms Arkutu is a former employee of Coca-Cola.
