Gov’t urged to support private health practitioners to expand
Nana Amokona Nimpong, a Senior Citizen in Sunyani, has appealed to the Government to assist private medical practitioners to access bank loans to expand their facilities.
In addition to providing an expanded and better health care delivery, he said the support would create more employment avenues for people.
Nana Nimpong, 76, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani said such efforts would not cripple the health sector in future when there was an industrial action by public sector health workers.
He noted that anytime health workers in the public sector embarked on strike, patients turned to the private hospitals and clinics, but because of inadequate facilities most of them were adversely affected.
