Ghanaian duo R2Bees up for BET award

Ghanaian music group R2Bees has been nominated for the 2013 edition of the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

According to the award nominees list released May 14, 2013, R2Bees were drawn in the Best International Act Africa category.

The hiplife duo, Faisal Hakeem (Paedae) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez), will face the likes of 2Face Idibia and Ice Prince of Nigeria, South Africa’s Toya Delazy and Donald as well as Uganda’s Radio and Weasel.

In 2012, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie won the BET Best International Act Africa award together with Nigerian Wizkid.

The 2013 BET Awards will be held June 30 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, USA.
