Ghana to issue three-year GH¢400m bond

cediThe Ghana government will on May 30, 2013 issue a GH¢400 million bond through the central bank.

The three-year fixed rate bond, the Bank of Ghana says will be used to support the budget and to rollover maturing debt.

Each Bond shall have a face value of one Ghana cedi, the central bank said in a statement.

It added that the bond shall be available to both resident and non-resident investors.

    WHY THIS GOVERNMENT KEEP SELLING BONDS TO SUPPORT BUDGET IF SSS IS TOO HIGH IT NEED SCRUTINY BY TAKING AWAY GHOST NAMES AND GET RAID OF UNPRODUCTIVE WORKERS THROUGH RETRAINING FOR OTHER AREAS IN THE PRIVATE SECTORS

    I LIKE THE WAY THE GOVERNMENTS CONTINUES TO ISSUE BONDS EVERY YEAR,BUT I WANT TO SAY THAT IT SHOULD BE ANNOUNCED OFFICIALLY SO THAT EVERYBODY BENEFITS FROM IT AND THEREFORE ERADICATES POVERTY FROM OUR SOCIETY
