Sudan sets up Ethiopia camping base for Ghana clash
Sudan have set up a training camp in Ethiopia for next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana in Khartoum.
The Desert Hawks have since last week been in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa to prepare for the Group D encounter that will take place on Saturday, June 7 in Khartoum.
Incidentally, the Black Stars are also scheduled to move to Addis Ababa later in the week to wind up preparations for the crucial encounter.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates Sudan lost 0-2 to Ethiopia in a friendly match last Saturday organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the African Union.
The Desert Hawks will later engage Tanzania on Sunday, June 2 in Addis Ababa before returning to Khartoum three days later.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are scheduled to arrive in Addis Ababa on May 30, before leaving for Khartoum on June 5.
Zambia lead the pack with seven points, Ghana has six points, Lesotho in that order with two points and Sudan with just a point at the depth of the standings.
