Provide us with information – Fire Service tells factories
Mr Gilford Tetteh Adams, Tema Regional Fire Officer, has appealed to all factories to update and inform the Ghana Fire Service on the chemical products present in their premises.
This, he said, would help inform the Fire Service should the need arise in the event of a fire outbreaks.
Mr Adams made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at his office on Monday.
The Regional Fire Officer said there was the need for industrial establishments to adopt safety measures to guard fires at all times.
Mr Adams said currently his outfit has targeted schools and churches as part of their fire awareness campaign in the area.
He said school children could serve as useful agents in spreading the fire prevention message, while the churches and their congregations could also serve as useful centres to reinforce the message.
