Kumasi Metro Assembly says has not authorised collection of money
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has denied authorising the collection of monies from traders in respect of the allocation of stores at the Krofrom Market.
It said those going round extorting money from people and pretending to be acting on its behalf are imposters.
A statement signed by Mr Godwin Okumah Nyame, Public Relations Officer, therefore called for members of the public to be alert in order not to be swindled.
They should also report the unscrupulous persons to the assembly to help bring them to justice.
The statement said the KMA would come out at the appropriate time to communicate on the modalities for the allocation of the stores for interested traders to pay for them.
