Mining firm supports market project in Ahyiresu

Noble Gold Bibiani Limited, a mining company, has donated 40 bags of cement and six bundles of roofing sheets to support the construction of a market at Ahyiresu in the Atwima-Mponua District.

The project, an initiative of the chiefs and people of the area, is to boost economic activities and it is being implemented through self-help.

Mr Roger Bannister, Executive Manager in-charge of Operations, said the gesture is in response to an appeal made by the people to the Company, which also forms part of their social responsibility.

He pledged continued assistance to the community, saying, they would always assist in efforts to improve the livelihood of the people.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Madam Theresa Adomako Tawiah, who was at the presentation ceremony, also donated 20 bags of cement on behalf of the district assembly towards the project.

Nana Baffour Awuah II, the Benkumhene, thanked the Company and the assembly for the gesture.

Meanwhile, Noble Gold limited has provided six bundles of roofing sheets each to Lineso and Abofrem communities in the same district.
