Rwandair begins Kigali-Accra route
The national carrier of Rwanda, Rwandair has began commercial flight operations from Kigali to Accra, Ghana.
The commencement of Rwandair is expected to link Accra to the whole of East Africa as the airline operates international flights to Kenya, Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania.
“Our target is to connect Africa with the rest of the world because we believe that connectivity is the only way Africa will achieve economic development,” John Mirenge, the RwandAir Chief Executive Officer said, the Rwandan New Times reported June 17, 2013.
The launch of Rwandair’s operations in Ghana took place in Accra last week.
