President Mahama nominates more MMDCEs

President John Mahama has nominated more persons for the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Brong Ahafo and Upper East regions.

They include Alhaji Mohammed Kwaku Doku: Asunafo North Municipal; I. K. Kyeremeh, Dormaa East; Datiakwa Kojo Nyame, Kintampo South; Bukari Anaba Zakaria, Tano South; Jones Samuel Tawiah, Tain; and Paul Donkor, Dormaa West.

The rest are Anthony Kwaku Marnuh, Techiman North; Nobert Awulley, Builsa South; Adangabey Bonaventure, Builsa North; Thomas Dalu, Kassena-Nankana West; Vivian Anafo, Nabdam; and Akologo Daniel Adoliba, Bunduri.

A press statement signed by Mr Akwasi Opong-Fosu, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said the nominations were in accordance with Section 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.
