Ghana finally joins African Legal Support Facility
Ghana has finally become a member of the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) after dragging its feet for some years now.
The ALSF, which is hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB), announced June 26, 2013 that Ghana is now the 48th country to join the facility.
The ALSF provides assistance to African countries to strengthen their legal expertise and negotiating capacity in dept management and litigation, natural resources and extractive industries management and contracting, investment agreement and related commercial and business transactions.
Officials also announced that the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has joined the Facility, bringing its total membership to 54.
The IsDB is the 6th international organization to become a member, says the ALSF.
