Gomoa Assembly endorses President’s nominee

Gomoa West Assembly has endorsed Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, the President’s nominee as District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

All the 50 members of the assembly voted to approve the President’s nominee, in an election conducted by Mr Stephen Bertino Baabayire, Mfantseman Electoral Officer.

Traditional rulers and well-wishers of Mr Aidoo-Mensah, who filled the assembly hall to capacity, went into jubilation after his endorsement.

Obrempon Nyanful Krampah XI, Paramount Chief of Gomoa Ajumako, praised President John Dramani Mahama for nominating Mr Aidoo-Mensah for the post.

He  assured the DCE of the support of the chiefs towards the development of the area.

Mr Aidoo-Mensah asked the assembly not to be complacent with its achievements, but to work harder to provide accommodation and health care for the people
