Ethiopian airlines connects West Africa and Brazil with Boeing Dreamliner
Ethiopian airlines has started a three-times per week flight operations connecting West Africa and Brazil with its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
According to Ethiopian airlines, it is using Togo’s capital Lomé to fly passengers to Brazilian cities Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro which will bring the number of its international destinations across five continents to 75.
“The flights will be the only connection between West Africa and Brazil,” the airline said in a statement July 1, 2013.
The airline is partnering with ASKY airline to coordinate “their schedules to give short, seamless and convenient connections to West Africa passengers travelling to and from Brazil”.
Commenting on the new route, CEO of Ethiopian airlines, Mr Tewolde Gebremariam, said “Our customers on this new route will also enjoy the unique cabin products and features of the global technology leader aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner.”
